Wealth Advisor & Associate Portfolio Manager

Mordechai Kuhnreich is a Wealth Advisor with Wellington-Altus Private Wealth. As a grandchild of Holocaust survivors who arrived from Europe practically penniless, Mordechai learned at an early age that having money is useless if it isn’t handled and used responsibly.

Mordechai earned his Bachelor of Science (honours) in Finance from Touro University in New York City. He worked with the dean of the business school to create a new curriculum focused on financial planning and personal taxes. He began his career in the wealth division at one of Canada’s big banks as an associate to an established advisor. He then transitioned to the wealth management division of Canada’s largest insurance company.

Prior to joining Wellington-Altus Private Wealth in 2022, Mordechai assisted in establishing one of Canada’s newest investment dealerships (named by Wealth Professional one of Canada’s top wealth teams in 2020). Mordechai continues to implement his strong relationship-building and analytical skills to provide the exceptional level of service his clients are used to.

When not helping his clients grow their wealth, he enjoys playing hockey, reading, and spending time with his wife and two sons. Mordechai particularly enjoys teaching his kids the importance of saving, sharing, and investing. One of his proudest moments was when Jonathan, who was four years old at the time, found a toonie and requested that it be invested for him. Carrying the diligence gene in the family, he then followed up on the status of his investment the following morning at 7 a.m.

Wellington-Altus Private Wealth is a member of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund and the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization.
