Mohammed Abas

As Head of Advisor Strategy at Wellington-Altus, Mohammed is responsible for driving growth through strategic corporate initiatives.

With over a decade of experience in finance and advisory roles, Mohammed has deep expertise in business valuations, financial due diligence, financial planning and analysis, and investment analysis. Prior to his current role, he served as Vice-President of Corporate Strategy and provided thoughtful analysis to the company’s Corporate Development efforts.

He previously worked at KPMG Canada, where he advanced through audit and deal advisory roles, and he also gained private equity analysis experience at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO).

Mohammed holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Manitoba and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM). He actively volunteers as a member of the Red River College Investment Committee.
