Jason’s primary role is to formulate financial planning, insurance, and customized investment strategies for clients. He also provides corporate clients with group benefits solutions.
He discovered his love of sharing knowledge while working in Japan as an English teacher over a quarter of a century ago. While walking around Tokyo, he met a financial planner who showed him how to combine his psychology background and teaching skills. When Jason returned to Canada, he took the Canadian Securities Course and began working at a major financial institution. After a few years, realizing that his clients needed more independent advice, he obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professional designation and moved to the independent side of the investment industry to provide advice on a range of financial topics. Jason also has the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation.
Jason is happily married to his lovely wife, Deidre, two extremely outgoing teenage daughters, and a new puppy. When not advising clients, he enjoys helping friends and family understand their electronic gadgets, playing any form of racquet sport, exploring new areas of the lower mainland with his dog, and spending time with his family and friends.
