Scott started in the investment industry in 1996. What started out as managing people’s money has evolved into helping people live the life they want because although money matters, it isn’t everything. That’s why Scott is passionate about helping people improve their quality of life, plan for the unexpected, and make the most of the time that they have.
Scott applies what he learned from his upbringing on the family farm to the work he does with clients today. Simply put, work hard, treat people the way you would like to be treated, and don’t take things for granted because you don’t know when they’ll be gone.
By far, the most satisfying parts of the job to Scott are the genuine relationships and more importantly, the friendships that have formed along the way. Being invited to weddings and other family events shows how Scott is far more than just their ‘investment guy.’ This level of care and attention towards clients along with his commitment to financial planning has contributed to Scott being recognized as a top advisor and member of his previous firm’s coveted President’s Council since its inception.
Bonnie and Scott have been married for over 20 years and have two children, Kayden and McKena. Outside of work, you can find Scott at the hockey rink, accompanying McKena to horse shows and rodeos, and spending quality time on the boat with the family. Scott is also an avid golfer so one thing on his bucket list is to go to Augusta to watch the Masters.
