Kathie Baran

Kathie comes to Wellington Altus with more than 20 years of operational expertise in the financial services industry, most recently as Senior Vice-President, Operations with CI Assante Wealth Management, where she oversaw the IIROC and MFDA back-office functions as well as the high-net-worth Private Client offering.

Kathie started in the financial services industry at Great-West Life but quickly realized the investment industry was a better fit.  Throughout her career, she has worked within asset management, wealth management (including MFDA, IIROC, and ICPM), and direct trading. Kathie enjoys finding ways to leverage technology to drive better experiences for advisors and clients while simultaneously increasing the operational efficiency for the organization.

Most recently, she was the Head of Technology for Guardian Capital Group, Vice-President, Head of Technology and Operations at Worldsource Wealth Management, and Director, Private Client Administration at CI Investments. She holds a degree in Economics from the University of Manitoba.
