Top 50 Advisors 2020

Wealth Professional is proud to present the seventh annual Top 50 Advisors list. In total, this year’s Top 50 Advisors are managing more than $16 billion worth of assets, improving on last year’s total by close to $6 billion. Once again, this year’s list contains advisors from across the country, representing seven different provinces; British Columbia narrowly surpassed Ontario for the first time this year with the most advisors on the list (17 versus 15).

Congratulations to Todd Degelman, Frank Mauro and Roderick Mahrt for their ranking within Canada’s Top 50 Advisors 2020.

Federal Government Defers Capital Gains Inclusion Rate Increase to 2026

The Minister of Finance and Intergovernmental Affairs, Dominic LeBlanc, announced that the federal government will postpone the implementation of the proposed increase to the capital gains inclusion rate—from one-half to two-thirds. Originally set to take effect on June 25, 2024, the new proposed implementation date is now January 1, 2026.
