Shawn Heidema

As an experienced financial professional with a genuine passion for helping people, I work with clients from all walks of life, but I especially enjoy guiding those who are approaching retirement or already actively enjoying life in retirement.

I began my career in finance many years ago and quickly recognized that the industry was often filled with confusing jargon and unnecessary complexity. My approach today is centered on creating a relaxed, fresh, and straightforward client experience—helping individuals achieve their financial goals through strategies that bring every aspect of their financial lives into harmony.

I hold the CERTIFED FINANCIAL PLANNER^MD and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM^MD) designations, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus in Finance and Economics.

I’m proud to be a member of my community and have lived on the island for more than 40 years. My wife, Andrea, and I are the proud parents of two incredible children, and in my spare time, you’ll find me relaxing by the water’s edge with a great book and a fishing pole, working on my golf swing, or reflecting on my time coaching youth hockey at the local arena—an experience I truly value.
